Location:
Soča Valley, Alpine Slovenia
Description:

The Stunning Beauty of Lake Bled

On this amazing alpine hiking tour in Slovenia, glistening lakes dot the Julian Alps. We stay on Lake Bled, one of the most beautiful mountain resorts imaginable. It’s a fairy-tale setting overseen by an 11th century Romanesque castle. In the center of Lake Bled you’ll visit an island with a 17th century church that rises above the shimmering water. You’ll also discover beautiful Lake Bohinj within Triglav National Park, one of Europe’s oldest national parks.

The Unforgettable Soca Valley

The emerald Soča river is the most beautiful river in Slovenia. It’s headwaters start high in the Julian Alps where they are fed by snowmelt and many freshwater springs that emerge from the canyon walls. We stay in Bovec, a gateway to Triglav National Park, and flanked by the highest peaks of the Julian Alps. Because of its gorgeous setting, it’s become a haven for outdoor and adventure sports enthusiasts.

Alpenwild’s Unmatched Expertise in the Alps

You’ll benefit from our first-hand knowledge of the Alps and years of hiking in Slovenia, the Julian Alps, and Triglav National Park. Alpenwild’s English-speaking local guides and support staff offer a level of expertise that no other operator can match.

Combine World-Class Hiking with Superb Cuisine

Every Alpenwild trip places a high priority on the wonderful cuisine and regional food specialties of the region in which we travel, and on our Slovenia and Julian Alps adventure hiking tour this is no exception. Farmstead alpine cheeses, hearty soups, mouth-watering smoked sausages, prosciutto (or prsut as they call it), strudels and cream cakes will fuel your hiking adventure.
