Description:

Holiday Farm Grofija offers 4 beautifully furnished apartments, each with a double bed and en-suite bathroom in the peaceful countryside just a short drive from the capital city of Ljubljana. Three have sofa beds and two with cribs. We have three apartments suitable for families and one smaller apartment for up to two people.

Welcome to our 200-year-old farm. At Holiday Farm Grofija our goal is to preserve our archaeological and ethnological heritage. In addition to agriculture, we are engaged in farm tourism. Our holiday Farm is situated on a hill surrounded by 10 hectares of arable land and 12 hectares of forest. If you are a cat lover, our family of cats will be more than welcoming for you.

Our guest rooms are furnished with restored furniture from our ancestors and offer guests a familiar environment. There is a bathroom (with shower) in each of our four double-bed rooms. A common living room and a common kitchenette (with refrigerator) are available in the anteroom. There are books and board games in the living room for relaxing and playing.

We offer a variety of activities for both adults and children on and around our farm. Children can visit the horses, fallow deer and goats located on our land. We also have a tennis court.

Mobile home tourists are also welcome to have breakfast and dinner at our house.

The homestead is a protected complex of agricultural buildings, which began to take on its appearance around 1800. At that time, the ancestors planted a mighty linden tree in the courtyard.  Furthermore, the so-called “Kašča” (building for storing the harvest; 1801), the stable (1851), the wooden barn (1857) and the house (1867) were built. The entire complex of agricultural buildings is carefully preserved and entered in the Register of Cultural Heritage. Around 1899 the farm was owned by family Vrhovec. Four generations of the family Janez Vrhovec have lived here until now.
